South Coast Surfers Honored For Putting Lives On The Line To Help Drowning Boaters
Ventura County is honoring some people who have gone beyond the normal to help others. The Ventura County Fire Department is celebrating everyone from firefighters to civilians who have stepped up to make a difference.
Two of the honorees are surfers who put their lives on the line to help some people who were thrown out of a boat by monster waves.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks with the surfers, John Paul Taylor and Aaron Fredette, who tell the story of that incredible day. Watch awards show: www.youtube.com/watch?v=itSkWxrHE0o
