Wanna Get Away? Airline Adding South Coast Service Tries To Make Splash With $29 Fares

What will be the newest airline to serve the South Coast is trying to make a big splash in the market, with some $29 dollar flights.

Southwest Airlines is set to begin service to Santa Barbara Airport April 12th.

To kick things off, the airline is offering $29 dollar non-stop flights to Las Vegas and Denver.  Santa Barbara’s tourism leaders have been courting Southwest for years, hoping that having the low cost carrier serve the community will help bring in more visitors.

The discount fares have some qualifications, including a 21-day advance purchase requirement.

Southwest will offer non-stop flights from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas, Denver, and Oakland.
