Ventura, Santa Barbara Counties Move From Purple To Red COVID-19 Tier, Allowing More Reopenings

Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties have moved from the state’s purple to red COVID-19 metric tiers, setting the stage for more reopenings. Tuesday’s action by the state opens the door for expanded reopenings Wednesday.

Restaurants, gyms, and places of worship will be able to resume limited indoor operations, with capacity limits.  Movie theaters and museums will also be able to reopen, again with limits on capacity.

And, shopping centers and retail stores will be able to increase the number of people allowed indoors at any given time.  Mask and social distancing requirements remain in place.

San Luis Obispo County is already in the red tier, moving two weeks ago.
