A Ventura County man has received a 24 year state prison sentence after an argument turned into a fatal stabbing.

George Edward Malone was involved in a dispute with Paul Blevins Junior in the parking lot of an Oxnard motel.  Prosecutors say Malone pulled out a knife, and fatally stabbed Blevins.

Malone pled guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge for the October, 2015 killing.  The 52-year-old Oxnard man also admitted to other charges, including using a knife in the killing, and the unlawful taking of a vehicle.
