South Coast Woman Expected To Get 28 Year State Prison Death Sentence For Fatal Stabbing Of Roommate

A Ventura County woman entered a guilty plea to stabbing to death her roommate during an argument which turned into a fight.

Ventura County prosecutors say Doyle Johnson and Audrey Evans were involved in a dispute at their Ventura home which turned violent.

Evans died after being stabbed multiple times during the August, 2019 confrontation.

Johnson pled guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge, and admitted using a knife in the crime.  The 55-year-old woman is expected to receive a 28 year state prison sentence as a result of the guilty plea.
