How Wet Was It On Central, South Coasts? 15" Of Rain In Some Mountain Areas

The biggest storm of the season is finally clearing out of the Central and South Coasts, but it’s leaving behind some impressive rainfall totals.  There was some localized street flooding, but no major issues were reported in the region's brush fire burn zones.

Some northwestern San Luis Obispo County mountains had 15 inches of rainfall.  Cal Poly San Luis Obispo recorded more than ten inches of rain.  Shell Beach had more than six inches of rain, while Nipomo had an even three inches.

In Santa Barbara County, Lompoc had nearly seven inches of rain, Solvang just over six inches, Goleta about five and a half inches, and Santa Barbara just under four inches.

Rainfall totals were much lighter in Ventura County.  Ojai had nearly two inches of rain, Ventura just over an inch, and Moorpark an inch.  We’ll have clearing for the weekend, but another storm could head our way early next week.
