Ventura County prosecutors say a plastic surgeon facing sexual assault charges involving one of his patients is now facing more counts, after 14 additional victims were identified.
Dr. David Michaelson was originally arrested last summer. After the case was publicized, Oxnard Police detectives and prosecutors say more victims came forward. The Oxnard doctor is now facing more than three dozen sexual assault charges.
Investigators say the incidents occurred during an nine-year period from 2011 to 2019 at his medical offices. They say the victims are from both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
The 73-year-old physician agreed to surrender his medical license for a year as a part of his bail.
