Woman Dead, Husband In Custody After Shooting In Ventura County

A Ventura County woman died at a hospital Monday after being shot in her Thousand Oaks home. Detectives say her husband is being held for the shooting.

A Ventura County woman is dead, and her husband is being held for her shooting death.  Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say it happened just before seven a.m. Monday in Thousand Oaks, in a home on Fountain Crest Lane. 

Investigators say there was a domestic disturbance, and the husband shot his wife.  The 57-year-old woman died a short time later at a hospital.  Detectives are trying to determine what led to the shooting.

The names of the woman, and her husband haven’t been released.
