Cal State Channel Islands President To Head Cal State Northridge

The head of a South Coast university is moving to a larger campus in the Cal State University System.  It’s a big promotion for the President of Cal State Channel Islands.   Erika Beck has been appointed as the new President of Cal State Northridge.

Beck has been at CSUCI for four years.  Under her leadership, the campus’ four-year graduation rate for first year students reached an all-time high.  The university has also built on its high national rankings in a number of categories.

Cal State Northridge has more than five times the enrollment of CSUCI.

Beck will assume her new post in January.  Cal State University Chancellor Timothy White will appoint an interim President, who will serve while a national search takes place for a successor.
