Man Arrested After Multi-City Car Chase On South Coast

Police say a man who threatened to shoot the mother of his child is behind bars after leading law enforcement officers on a car chase in Ventura County.

Oxnard Police say it started at around 11 Tuesday morning, when Rodolfo Martinez threatened the woman, but then fled Oxnard.  He was soon spotted, but refused to stop.  The Oxnard man drove to Thousand Oaks, where he stopped in a shopping center parking lot, but refused to surrender.

He then started driving again, and headed to Camarillo.  He finally pulled over to the side of a road, and was captured after officers used multiple police units to block his vehicle.

The 27 year old man was arrested on charges of making felony threats, and criminal evading.
