Woman Dies In Fiery Crash In Ventura County

CHP investigators are trying to figure out what led to a fiery crash in Ventura County which left one person dead.

A westbound car veered off of Highway 126 near the Ventura-Los Angeles County line Sunday night, and plunged into a cement drainage culvert.  It overturned, and caught on fire.

Ventura County firefighters arriving on the scene outside of Piru found the vehicle in flames.  The 27 year old woman driving the car was the only one inside.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her name hasn’t been released.
