Woman Dead, Man Arrested Following Domestic Disturbance Incident At South Coast Motel

Detectives are trying to unravel what led to what they believe was a murder in Ventura County.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Moorpark motel Wednesday morning.  Staff members called 911 requesting help removing a man they say was creating a disturbance in the motel’s lobby.  When deputies went to the man’s room, they found him and a seriously injured woman.  She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Detectives say William Justin Koznar had been in a domestic relationship with the woman.  The 32 year old Moorpark man was arrested on a domestic disturbance charge.  After the woman died, a murder charge was added.

The name of the 36 year old Northern California woman hasn’t been released.
