Two Boys Fatally Injured By Car In Conejo Valley; Driver Arrested For Vehicular Manslaughter

A Conejo Valley community is in shock after two young boys were struck and killed by a car, and a prominent resident was arrested.

A family of six was in a crosswalk on Triunfo Canyon Road in Westlake Village just after seven Tuesday night when a car came their way.  Most of the family was able to get out of the way, but two young boys were stuck and fatally injured.  The intersection didn’t have a stoplight.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators say they arrested the driver, Rebecca Grossman, on two counts of vehicular manslaughter.

Grossman is chair of the non-profit Grossman Burn Foundation, which helps burn victims from around the world.  She is also the former publisher and editor of lifestyle-oriented Westlake Magazine.
