Brush Fire Burns Near Highway 1 On Central Coast; No Structures Threatened

A brush fire burned more than than ten acres of land on Vandenberg Air Force Base Wednesday afternoon, but no structures were threatened.

Firefighters are battling a brush fire on the Central Coast.  The ten acre plus blaze is burning on the northeast side of Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The fire was reported just after 12:30 Wednesday afternoon off of Highway 1, near San Antonio Road.

The blaze put up a huge plume of smoke.  No structures are reported threatened, and no evacuations have been ordered.  Highway 1 remains open.
