Firefighters Mopping Up Brush Fire On Central Coast

Firefighters are mopping up a brush fire south of Lompoc Monday afternoon.

Firefighters are mopping up a brush fire on the Central Coast which at one point had the potential to grow to more than 100 acres.

The fire was discovered at around 1:30 Monday afternoon off of San Miguelito Road, in the Lompoc Valley. The area is south of Lompoc.

Firefighters aided by aircraft were able to get the upper hand on the blaze in about three hours, keeping it to about 25 acres burned. No structures were damaged.
