Former State Parks Employee On South Coast Sentenced To Jail For Embezzlement

A former state parks employee has been sentenced to jail for embezzling entry fee money from a park on the South Coast.  Kevin James Enns worked as an entry gate attendant at San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura.

Prosecutors say he stole more than three thousand dollars from the park during a month long period last summer.  The 45 year old man had worked for the state agency for two decades.

The Ventura man pled guilty to one count of embezzlement of public funds. He was ordered to spend four months in jail.  Enns already paid more than $3600 in restitution.
