Record Heat Possible For Central, South Coasts Over Labor Day Weekend

We could see record setting heat on the Central and South Coasts over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

There’s an extreme heat warning for much of the region.  Temperatures could range between 100 and 112 degrees in some of our inland valleys.

There’s concern about the potential for rolling blackouts because of the added demand on the state’s power grid.

Meteorologists say at this point, it appears the hottest temperatures will hit us Saturday.  The hot weather also means we’ll see elevated brush fire danger in the region.
