Containment Up To 45% On Ventura County Brush Fire; Evacuation Orders Lifted

Firefighters now have 45% containment of a brush fire burning in a remote area of Ventura County.

The 3000 acre blaze started Monday afternoon, in Holser Canyon near Lake Piru.  The flames initially threatened some homes, but firefighters were able to protect the structures.

The flames moved northeast, away from the community and over to the Los Angeles County line.

All evacuation orders have been lifted.  A vehicle fire is being blamed for accidentally triggering the blaze.  Two firefighters have been treated for minor injuries.
