Firefighters Make Progress Battling 3000 Acre Brush Fire In Ventura County

Firefighters now have 20% containment of a 3000 acre brush fire burning in a remote area of Ventura County.

The Holser Fire begain Monday afternoon near Lake Piru, after a vehicle caught on fire.  The blaze quickly grew in size, creating concern about some nearby homes.  But, firefighters were able to protect them, and the fire burned northeast away from the Piru area.  It's now near the Ventura-Los Angles County line.

No structures have been lost.  More than 400 firefighters have been facing temperatures topping 100 degrees as they've battled the flames.

Three firefighters have suffered minor injuries.
