Public Gets Chance To Weigh In On New Draft General Plan For Ventura County

The public is going to get the chance this week to weigh in on a proposed plan to guide growth and development in Ventura County for the next two decades.

The Ventura County Planning Commission is holding a public hearing on the County’s draft 2040 General Plan, and its environmental impact report.  The plan would provide a blueprint for the county to deal with key issues like zoning, land use, housing, and open space.

Work has been underway on the plan for five years.

The proposed plan is available for review through the Ventura County Planning Division’s website.  People can attend the meeting Thursday at the Ventura County Hall of Administration, or watch and take part via Zoom.
