Santa Barbara County Firefighters Make Progress With 600+ Acres Brush Fire On Central Coast

Firefighters battled a brush fire on the Central Coast Sunday afternoon.

Santa Barbara County firefighters are reporting 10% containment of a 600 plus acre brush fire on the Central Coast.

The fire was discovered just before 1 p.m. Sunday west of Buellton, off of Highway 246 near Drum Canyon Road.  Some structures were threatened by the blaze, which is burning in a rural area of the county.  

Firefighters have been aided by air tankers and helicopters in battling the fire.  There's no word of any structures being lost, or damaged.
