Ventura County firefighters are busy Thursday dealing with two brush fires.

They now have 70% containment of the Elizabeth Brush fire.  It’s a 275 acre blaze burning in the hills between Ventura and Santa Paula.  No homes were threatened, and no structures have been damaged.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, firefighters have 30% containment of a blaze burning in an isolated area of eastern Ventura County.  The Lime Fire has burned about 300 acres of brush near Lake Piru.  The fire forced the evacuation of Piru Campground.  No structures have been reported damaged.
