Driver Arrested After More Than 60 Mile Long Car Chase On South Coast

A man driving a stolen utility truck has been arrested after a more than 60 mile chase on the South Coast.

It started just after 9 a.m. Monday.  The truck was reported stolen in Agoura Hills.  CHP officers spotted the truck on northbound Highway 101 in Ventura.  They tried to get the driver to pull over, but he refused to stop. 

The chase moved into Santa Barbara County, where a county Sheriff’s Office helicopter joined in the pursuit.

The driver finally stopped on Highway 101 near Gaviota State Park, and tried to escape on foot.  Officers caught and arrested Jacob Ray Sanchez on multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle charges.
