Popular Salad Bar Chain Closes Permanently As Result Of Coronavirus Crisis

A popular salad bar restaurant chain with a location in Ventura County has announced that it’s closing permanently as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

Souplantation had nearly 100 restaurants, including one in Camarillo.

The San Diego County company closed its chain of all-you-can-eat salad bars in mid-March, saying at the time it would reopen as soon as feasible.

But, with the future of buffet style food serving a question mark for at least the near future, Souplantation’s parent company announced they would not reopen.   The company went through bankruptcy four years ago, closing a number of its restaurants, but survived that crisis.
