Plug Pulled On Central Coast Concert Series Due To Coronavirus Danger

A summertime community concert series on the Central Coast set to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year is going to have to wait until 2021 for its big birthday.

The Downtown SLO organization announced that it’s cancelling this year’s season because of the coronavirus crisis.

The free weekly concert series was supposed to begin June 12th. Organizers had 14 bands lined up, as well as a singer/songwriter showcase event.

There’s an effort underway to see if a series of online events can be held for music fans to help fill some of the void created by cancellation of the concerts.
