New Report Critical Of Central, South Coast Air Quality; But Coronavirus Creates Post-Report Twist

The American Lung Association has released it’s “State Of The Air” report for the nation, and it’s reporting the Central and South Coasts are among the areas with poor air quality. The report assigns letter grades to counties, and give Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties F’s, and Santa Barbara County a C.

The report looks at the years 2016 and 2018, and says among the most serious issues are ozone and particle pollution.

But, there’s also a twist to the report. Many parts of the country are now reporting the cleanest air in decades, due to coronavirus. With many industries shut down, or operating at reduced capacity, and traffic non-existent, even places like Los Angeles are reporting amazing air quality.
