Health Care Network Serving Central Coast Steps Up To Support Food Banks

A health care network serving the Central Coast is doing something extra to help people in the region during the coronavirus crisis.

Dignity Health has given Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and the SLO Food Bank nearly $30,000 to help feed those in need.

Foodbanks in the region are facing a tough situation, with a huge spike in demand at the same time as they’ve been hit by a reduction in donations.

Dignity Health operates three hospitals on the Central Coast, as well as a number of other medical facilities and clinics in the region.
