Utility Company Makes Major Donation For Conavirus Relief On Central, South Coasts

A utility company has made a big donation to help people in need on the Central and South Coasts as a result of the coronavirus crisis. The Southern California Gas Company is giving the American Red Cross of Central California $100,000 for relief efforts.

The Red Cross is helping with some of the school programs to feed children in need in the Central and South Coasts. It’s also developing plans to get needed medical equipment for medical facilities and the homebound in the region.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
