Coronavirus Now In All Three Counties On Central, South Coasts

Coronavirus has now been confirmed in all three counties on the Central and South Coasts.

Santa Barbara County has its first confirmed case of coronavirus. Santa Barbara County Public Health officials say a man in his 60’s who lives in the North County has tested positive. The man is currently in home isolation.

County Health officials say the man hadn’t been traveling, so they think it’s a case of community transmission. Meanwhile, five UC Santa Barbara students are now in home quarantine in Isla Vista after they came into contact with someone from San Diego County who later tested positive for coronavirus.

Ventura County Public Health officials say a total of five people have tested positive, or are presumptive positives in the county. San Luis Obispo County Public health officials say they’ve had two positive cases.
