Ojai Music Festival Chooses Music Directors For Two Future Festivals

A world famous music festival on the South Coast has announced its choice for Music Director for its 75th annual event. Composer/conductor John Adams will be the Ojai Music Festival’s 2021 Music Director. Adams is one of the most performed modern day classical composers. His music include works like “Nixon in China.” As a conductor, he’s worked with some of the world’s leading orchestras.

Ojai Festival officials also announced that in 2022, instead of having an individual they will have the American Modern Opera Company serve as Music Director. The 2020 Festival is set to take place June 11th through 14th. It will highlight the works of an array of composers from the past six centuries, connecting traditional with contemporary classical music.
