21 People Under Quarantine In Ventura County For Coronavirus; No One Has Tested Positive

Ventura County Public Health officials now say there are a total of 21 travelers quarantined for possible coronavirus exposure in Ventura County, but emphasize none of them have tested positive. The latest update shows that 19 of the travelers are self-quarantined at their homes. They are considered to be medium risk, and as part of the self-quarantine have to stay in isolation at home for 14 days. Health officials are checking in on them regularly.

Meanwhile, a second traveler is now under quarantine at Naval Base Ventura County. They are at the base because they are too far from their homes to get there with potentially exposing other people if it turns out they are infected.

Ventura County Public Health officials emphasize there have been no confirmed positive cases in our region. They say you should take common sense steps to protect yourself like limiting your exposure to people who are sick. The experts say with no confirmed cases in the region, the risk level remains low.
