Unemployment Remains At Record Low Level In State; Little Change On Central, South Coasts

Unemployment continues to remain at record low levels statewide, as well as on the Central and South Coasts.

In Ventura County, the jobless rate stayed unchanged at 3.4% from November to December.  Santa Barbara County's unemployment rate rose slightly from month to month, going from 3.6% to 3.2%.  And, in San Luis Obispo County, there was no change, with 2.5% unemployment in November and December.

The statewide jobless rate remained at 3.9% in December, the same as in November.  California has grown the number of jobs it has for 118 straight months.
