South Coast Aviation Museum To Get National Exposure On Popular Network Television Show

One of television’s most popular TV series kicks off its 24th season Monday night, and part of the episode is set at a South Coast museum. ABC’s “The Bachelor” stars Peter Weber, a commercial airline pilot from Westlake Village. Part of the opening episode was shot at the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Camarillo.

It’s huge exposure for the non-profit, which owns a dozen World War II vintage planes as part of a museum at Camarillo Airport.

Lucien Pillai is with the Commemorative Air Force. The 55,000 square foot museum has been based at the airport for decades, but many people still don’t know about it. Pillai says they’re hoping the exposure will encourage people to visit it.
