Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man on the South Coast.
Onxard Police were called to the 200 block of South Marquita Street just after 9:30 Sunday night by reports of a shooting. They found a 22 year old man on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics worked to try to save the man. He was taken to a hospital, but died in surgery. His name hasn't been released. Investigators aren't talking about what they think may have happened.
