Cave Wildfire In Santa Barbara County Fully Contained

The Cave Fire burning November 25th on San Marcos Pass

A wildfire which at one point forced thousands of evacuations in Santa Barbara County is now fully contained.

The Cave Fire started November 25th in the mountain above Santa Barbara, near East Camino Cielo.  Authorities say the 3100 acre blaze threatened more than 2,000 homes. 

But, firefighters were able to keep the flames away from houses, and none were destroyed.  It was fully contained over the weekend.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
