New Virtual Health Care Service Serving Central, South Coasts; Talk To Experts Online 24/7

There’s a new way on the Central and South Coasts to check out a serious medical concern without going to an emergency room. A Santa Barbara based healthcare network has launched an online service which allows you to check out your medical issues 24/7. Cottage CareNow allows you to check out a medical concern from your home, office, or anywhere at any time.

Dr. Allan Brown is with Cottage Health, which is offering the new service. He says you can fill out a questionnaire, and get an online diagnosis with an hour, or you can do an immediate online video chat. Brown says it means many people can avoid unnecessary doctor visits.

You don’t have to have insurance to use it. You pay online, $29 for an online interview, and $39 for an online chat. It’s available through Cottage’s website, cottagehealth.org.
