A Ventura County man has received a 27 years to life prison sentence after being convicted of brutally murdering his pregnant girlfriend. Antonio Magana killed Ashley Moran in March of 2014 in a Santa Paula park.
Magana and Moran had been dating, and she became pregnant.
Prosecutors say he wanted her to have an abortion, and when she refused he killed her. Detectives say the 23 year old man carefully planned the killing, luring her into a park at night. They say he hit her with a baseball bat and stabbed her. The Santa Paula man wasconvicted of first degree murder.
