Chair Of Reagan Foundation Board Part Of Events Celebrating 30th Anniversary of Fall of Berlin Wall

The Chairman of the Ventura County based Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is in Germany, to help commemorate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Fredrick Ryan was part of ceremonies unveiling a new seven foot tall, 800 pound statue of the late president. It’s located on the rooftop terrace of the U.S. Embassy in Berlin which overlooks the Brandenberg Gate.

It’s the same spot where Reagan made his famous 1987 speech in which he said “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.” The Reagan Library in Simi Valley has a piece of the Berlin Wall on display as part of its permanent collection.
