A fire that’s burned more than 850 acres of land in the Canyon Country area, in Los Angeles County is sending a lot of smoke into Ventura County.

The Tick Fire was discovered Thursday afternoon.  It's miles away from Ventura County, but the smoke has created concern for people in areas like Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Agoura Hills.

That fire is to the east of Santa Clarita, but the smoke is drifting southwest towards eastern Ventura County, and the San Fernando Valley.

The poor air quality prompted Moorpark College to cancel all of its Thursday night classes, and activities.
