More Than 90,000 Power Customers On South Coast Notified They Could Be Hit By Safety Outages

The increased brush fire threat for the next few days has led to more than 90,000 power customers on the South Coast being notified they could be hit by intentional electrical shutdowns. Some 94,000 Southern California Edison customers in Ventura County have been told they are in potential outage areas.

The warnings include customers in the Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, and Ventura areas.

In Santa Barbara County, more than 200 Edison customers in the Gaviota, and Point Conception areas have been warned they may be impacted by intentional power shutdowns.  Here's a link to the latest SCE Public Safety Power Shutoff information:

There are no current warnings for PG & E customers in northern Santa Barbara County, or in San Luis Obispo County.
