Ventura County Community Gets New Police Chief

A law enforcement veteran with more than two decades of experience will be a Ventura County community's new police chief.

Eric Tennessen has been selected to be Camarillo's new top law enforcement officer.

Tennessen has been with the Ventura County Sheriff's office for 21 years.  He's worked as a patrol watch commander, in investigations, and for the last year and a half has been the City of Fillmore's Police Chief.

Tennessen takes over in Camarillo for Commander Dave Murray, who was recently appointed as an Assistant Sheriff.

The Sheriff's Office has contracts to provide law enforcement services for Fillmore and Camarillo.
