Search On For Hit and Run Driver In Oxnard Who Dragged Bicyclist Under Vehicle Before Fleeing

Police are looking for a hit and run driver on the South Coast who struck a bicyclist, and dragged him for more than 100 feet under the car before fleeing the scene. The collision happened just after midnight Wednesday at the intersection of “C” Street and Rincon Way in Oxnard.

Oxnard Police investigators say the car was turning onto Rincon Way when it hit the 46 year old cyclist at an intersection. After the collision, the car kept going westbound on Rincon Way, dragging the victim under the vehicle until he was dislodged.

The car then kept going. Police think the vehicle might have been a Honda Accord, or a similar style vehicle. The cyclist is in critical condition at a Ventura hospital.
