Cell Phone Video Leads To Arrest Of Two Teens For Wild Stolen Truck Ride In Ventura County

Cell phone video of a wild ride involving a stolen commercial truck led to the arrest of two teenagers. The truck was stolen September 18th from Main Street in Fillmore. The owner of the truck saw two teens getting inside. He grabbed the outside of the vehicle, trying to stop them, but was almost run over as the driver accelerated.

The stolen truck then smashed into a parked car. The truck kept going through the streets of Fillmore, with the driver eventually crashing into a drainage ditch. The two teens then fled the scene.

But, thanks to cell phone video, the 18, and 14 year old boys from Thousand Oaks were identified. They were arrested this week on charges ranging from auto theft to hit and run driving.
