More than 40 bales of marijuana are found on a South Coast beach Saturday

Authorities say they are still trying to unravel the mystery behind more than 40 bales of marijuana ending up on a South Coast beach. Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say the bales were found along with a panga boat on a beach off of the Pacific Coast Highway, near Deer Creek Road.

The bales contained more than 570 pounds of marijuana. However, deputies didn’t find anyone at the scene of where the boat, and drugs were discovered early Saturday morning.
