Coast Guard officials say their crews have been involved in a rescue operation involving a boat with more than 30 people on board in the Channel Islands.
They responded to reports of a boat in distress off of Santa Cruz Island early Monday morning.
Some of the boat's crew members were reported to have ended up in the water. One minor injury has been reported, with Coast Guard crews working to evacuate passengers on the craft.
