Brush Fire Burning On Central Coast

A brush fire which started Sunday night on the Central Coast burned more than 50 acres of land north of Lake Cachuma as of daybreak Monday

Firefighters are battling a brush fire burning on the Central Coast.

The blaze was discovered just after 10:30 Sunday night in the Santa Ynez Valley.  What's being called the Range Fire is burning north of Lake Cachuma, in the Happy Canyon Road area.

Santa Barbara County firefighters arriving on the scene found a four to five acre blaze, but it quickly grew to about 50 acres.   No structures are reported to be threatened.

There's no word on the cause of the fire.
