Homeless Central, South Coast Veterans Get Help At Stand Down Event

Hundreds of Central and South Coast veterans are getting some special help this weekend. The 27th annual Ventura County Stand Down is taking place at the National Guard Armory in Ventura. Friday through Sunday, homeless veterans are able to get everything from fresh cloths and a place to stay to help with social services.

Veterans of all types are being invited to come and get information on the range of assistance which is available. Hundreds of volunteers make the Stand Down event possible, offering everything from dental services to mental health counseling.
