Fans Remembering Michael Jackson In Santa Barbara County On 10th Anniversary Of His Death

His legacy was tarnished by unproven allegations of child molestation. But, some fans of pop star Michael Jackson flocked to his onetime home in Santa Barbara County on the 10th anniversary of his death. Fans left flowers and photos outside of the gate of what was known as Neverland Ranch, off of Figueroa Mountain Road in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Some fans also placed photos of the pop star at the Santa Barbara County courthouse in Santa Maria. That’s where Jackson was tried and acquitted of molestation allegations.

Thousands of fans have been visiting the Glendale cemetery where he is buried. Jackson died on June 25th, 2009 from a drug overdose involving a mix of medications.

His doctor was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the pop star’s death.
