Caltrans Crew Discovers Human Remains On Central Coast

A Caltrans crew doing routine maintenance discovered the remains of a body on the Central Coast. The crew was doing landscaping work on Highway 1 near Morro Bay Boulevard in Morro Bay Thursday when they found a human skull.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s investigators estimated the skull had been there from several months to about a year. They say there is no sign of foul play.

Detectives aren’t releasing additional details, like the name or sex of the remains, or what they think might have occurred.
