Strong Thunderstorms Possible For South Coast

An upper level trough could create some unstable weather on the South Coast for the next few days, including some thunderstorms and locally heavy rain. The potential for thunderstorms is in the forecast during the afternoons and early evenings through Friday.

The best chance of thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall is in Ventura and Santa Barbara County mountain areas. However, the thunderstorms could also impact some inland and coastal areas.

Meteorologists say there could be some localized street flooding.

There are no specific watches or warnings for the region’s brush fire burn zones.
